( think it is cause I just find Jake so good looking )

No, it's not dust on my lens, IT'S SNOW ! !
Yes it is snow, here in Vegas Crazy :)
Jake came home on a short break and told
me to look out the window this afternoon
and this was my surprise..
Snow, snow, snow I love it :)
Okay so it's that slushy wet snow that is just
cold and wet, but it is snow !

I only wish it could stick around for a few days :)
Oh well, at least it snowed and I am happy now :)

The Christmas lights at opportunity village

This is my first year here for Christmas
and my first time going to opportunity village
I love Christmas lights, and this was wonderful
to get me into the Christmas spirit. :)
It was so much fun being with Jake, and his family :)

growing up I would watch peanuts (Charlie brown)
Every year the Christmas one would come on and I never missed it,
So I just had to get a picture of snoopy :)

awe how cute, I am glad to know that we
dont need a mistletoe for Jake to give me a kiss :)

Now I just thought this was beautiful, to bad they don't do rides in it

Last year I thought I would leave the lights on to make things
easier, you know pretend to have one of those really nice trees,
where the lights are on, and they are straight and all..
HAHA Half my lights on the large tree were out, in the middle
of the tree. not the bottom or top where it would be easy to fix..
but no the middle haha.
Well all got done with help of Jake making the tree stand
straight,after I somehow made it lean twice :(
and to Carries help for putting on the decorations
after my arms gave up from putting lights on..

This was thanksgiving day at Moms

I'm dreaming of a white christmas (keep dreaming right)

Well we are December now, and well yesterday was 70
and the rest of this week will be in the low to mid 60's : ?
Talk about trying to make it feel like the holidays.
I forgot how beautiful the snow is.
(that is a picture of the canyon road in Payson Utah)
I really dont miss the cold to much, just the beautiful snow
and that cold mountain smell.
I can't really explain the smell, but yes there is one.
Last week when I was up in Utah, I got in at 7 am
The first scent I smelt when I stepped out of the car was
that cold mountain smell, that told me the holidays are here..
Yes I may wish for snow but I know it wont happen here,
so I guess I will have to make do with the fluffy fake stuff
and the window paint haha ( oh sad)
But like I have said, doesnt matter what you get, or where you are
it is who you're with and what you do with that time together. :)
So I will be dreaming of a white Christmas, while I go outside in
a shirt and flipflops :)

I love my nephews and nieces so much.
I miss the green grass and mountains too but mainly my family :)
With thanksgiving being next week, we are trying to up
and visit for a few days.
I am very thankful for family mine and Jakes

Just a thought about Jake

Just a note of how much I appreciate my husband
Jake is always helping out, whenever anyone askes
him to do something, fix something, or just listen
he is always there.
More so for me than anyone though
Thanks for all the times he has had to wait,
to all the hockey games I made him late.
For fixing everything that I tend to break
from my computer, the toilet, our DVD player
to even my own ankle :(
For also fixing Me, when I'm upset,
tired, grumpy, sore, sad, and all
the rest of the ten thousand moods we women
go through in a day.
Allowing me an extra 15 mins on those days
when I try on just 5 more outfits, cause nothing
is looking right or fit right, and on those days
for reminding me that I am beautiful to him :)
Being my shoulder to lean on (really lean on :) ) cry on,
hold on to when I get scared.
Most of all I am thankful for him being my best friend
through the very thick and thin.
It is hard to remember to say thank you sometimes
but there's no reasonable excuse for not saying thank you enough..

Early Christmas thoughts :)

Okay, so I am sooo excited for Christmas
and I am glad that there are Christmas blog background now :)
Yeppie !

This year will our first Christmas being married,
and my first Christmas in Vegas.

With everything going on in everyday life
I am always excited for the Holiday season
it is almost like you get to take a break from the normal
things and focus a little more on your loved ones, and
things that make other people happy.
Working I already start to see people, trying to help
others out, and I also see those people who get frustrated
by the long lines, the out of stock product that
their kid just has to get for Christmas
But I hope we can all remember this year
to maybe give more from the heart
rather than our checkbook
Because after it's all said and done
not many people remember what sweater
they got this year, or little toy, it's what they
did with their time, who they spent it with, and things
as a family we did.
So even though it is a little over a month away
I hope we can all start thinking of ways to make
others days brighter, and the people in our lives
who do even the smallest of things, and say thank you :)

Doughnuts on a String

So This is new to me too :)

I guess Jakes family does this every Halloween
Doughnuts on a string.
( We were a little late this year)

We each had a doughnut tied to a string
then it was hung so we could reach it.
The object is to eat your doughnut the fastest,
and you can't use your hands.
Sounds easy enough right?
Well it was fun, but it was not
as easy as I though it would be.
Maybe cause I kept laughing and my doughnut kept moving.

Update on Hockey

well the game before last night the Hitmen lost :( They played feel the funk lost 6 to 4


Last night though they won 6 to 2 against the Putters,
They played a real good game, and Jake drew two penalties where his team
went on a 2 men advantage :) WOO WHOO JAKE !!
They have 2 games left this season but sill be starting the winter one right after :)

HOCKEY

Well, last night the Hitmen won 6 to 2 ;) Jake had 2 goals he started by getting the first goal and finished by getting the last goal. It was great , maybe next game he'll get a hat trick :)

JOBS :)

Well, today was Jakes first day of work :) and I will start Wednesday at Michaels. I am excited for all these good changes in our lives right now. ;)

It's been a little while

Well, I guess I finally have something to post :) This week has been a big plus for me and Jake.He has a job starting Monday and I may be starting at Michaels, just for the Holidays to bring in some Christmas money. It has been nice having time off to do whatever I like, but it will be even better to have a little money so I can start thinking of Christmas.

Hockey has been going and sad to report the Hitmen have lost the last two games. Jake though has had an assist every game but still awaiting to get a goal. There is always next week :)

Fall Hockey Season Hitmen vs Putters

I didnt bring my camera so sorry, I don't have pictures.
Well, the fall hockey season started and the first game was a win :)
If you remember we bet the Putters 9 to 1 last time.
This time the Putters had a new goaltender and I think a few different players
We won 5 to 2, Jake had an assist no goal for that game :( but he is still playing amazing.

My trip to Utah

I have been back from Utah for a little less then 2 weeks. I have yet to get the pictures from my time up there. I went to a Jazz festival with my family up in Park City. It was soo pretty up there the leafs had already started to change. Me and Danielle mostly hung out, checked the booths and tried to ride the ski lift ( didn't get too though by the time we found where to get the tickets they were closing it :( ) After that of course we hit the outlets and hung out the rest of the night.
I checked out the Cities new pool with the water slides and played with my nephews and niece.
I ended up having to stay an extra week, so the 2nd week I was up there I refinished our table, and got sick from the allergies up there. I took a ton of pictures but I guess I erased them :( So I'll get those on here as soon as I get them...

Still in Utah

It has been a week up here :) and I think I am ready to come home. I love my family and seeing all of the little ones. Just one weekend left up here to get our stuff sold : / I will need to post pics of the kids and all the stuff I've done this week :)

Back up the mountains ( Utah )

This week will be a long one, I am going back up to Utah
to take care of things we left up there, and maybe if I am lucky
I will be able to go up to the mountains where it's green :)

HOCKEY DAY ! ! !

Hitmen polished off their summer session with a victory over 1st place Giuseppe's.
The Hitmen finished the summer session 7-3,

So I guess that is good news, the bad news is Jake ended his scoring run that he was on. :(

This weeks hockey game. Hitmen vs. Kilroys

I only took a few pictures and they aren't worth putting up.
Jake got a really nice goal which brought his team to the final goal of 3 to 6.
I had my camera put away at this time, cause I was upset that they were losing :(
On the bright side though, Jake continues to get at least a goal a game.
They have one more game left for this summer. It is against the
best team who is 1st place, which has the Hitmen 2nd right now.
If they beat them next week they will be at the top :)

This was last weeks hockey game.
Jake had 2 goals and 3 assists, as you can see they won 9 to 1 :)
This was Jakes 7th game with the hitmen, scoring a goal every game.

After he got the goal, That is one thing I really like about
this sport, you get a goal and your teammates congratulate you.
Also at the end of the game no mater who won or lost,
they always shake hands and congratulate the other team.

You kinda feel bad for the goal tender after a game like this.
Jake puts it in the net ! ! !

Hockey Day

Jake joined the Sin City Hit men hockey team
a few weeks ago, these are pictures from last Wednesdays game.
As you can see the other team never showed up, supposedly it
was a pretty good team too.
Jake has been averaging 3 points a game.(no not goals points)
They have not lost game since Jake has joined their team.
They have been playing every Wednesday evening, so
that is where I have been spending my Wednesday nights at.
It is well worth watching, and I enjoy being there.
Last week I thought I would get some pictures , so
maybe this week I will get some more, I hope to keep
on top of his games and keep an update of them.

I wanted to get some new pictures of us, cause I didn't want to just have wedding ones, and it had been a few months :) Awe Jake is so cute..

Oh poor bear, she got a little to carried away and cut the bears whole foot off. It was the best.. She can be a little crazy but I love it, and she is a blast to hang out with..

We were cheering for the Las Vegas Wranglers

Who were up 3 games to 0.

This was game 4, and would send the winners of this

Set to the final game.

So Jake had this great idea to get stuffed teddy bears

And gut them, and tie a rope around their necks and bring

them to the game.

so we did, and the wranglers won.

I lost my voice screaming at the game and could‘t really talk

for a few days.. But it was a blast, am looking forward going

next year..
